sir,
I have the honour to transit for your
consideration the enclosed copy of a letter from the Direc tor
of Public Works regarding the eastern boundary of Inland Lot

and to inform you that in August, 1880, application was made
in a letter, copy of which is enclosed, to Sir John Pope Hennessy
for an extension of this boundary.
Sir John Pope Hennessy with the advice of his
Executive Council approved the extension and it was apparently
his intention to obtain the sanction of the Secretary of State
for his action in the matter, but he never did so as far as
the records show.

In these circumstances I have the honour
to recommend that the extension of 2,267 Square Feet shown on
the attached tracing, which has been prepared from actual
survey, should be granted on the same terms as are embodied
in the lease for the original lot viz.-
